I just installed the set from hornblasters.com "the conductors special" which is 4 hugh horns, 3 gallon air tank, and 150 psi compressor. I have done alot of mods to my truck but this by far is the most fun. They are loud as hell and scares the sh#$ out of the idiots on the road. I mounted my airtank and the compressor of the frame rail under the passenger side of the truck. The only place I was able to fit my horns was right behind the front bumper under the truck with some custom brackets I made up attached to the frame also. The are facing to the side cause there was not enough room to face them forward. But beleive me it doesnt matter what direction they are facing they will be heard for miles. To activate them I am just using a toggle switch that was installed under and to the right of the steering wheel. I will take pictures and post them tomorrow.

GREAT...I installed them Friday (but didnt want to say anything yet because I don't have any pics to post and I knew everbody would want them) and they are LOOOOOUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDD!!!! Let me stress that a little more....THEY ARE LOOOOOUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDD!!!! That video of the people jumping and freaking out is no joke...OMG I had some much fun with it Friday night! You can be standing in front of truck expecting it and you will still jump when it goes off.
I mounted my horn button beside the cig lighter on the dash, I mounted the compressor under the driver's side headlight, the tank between the radiator support and the air filter on my AIRAIDE (I went with the smaller 1 gallon tank instead of the 2.5 gallon), and I mounted the horns cross ways between the front cross member and the bumper. I wanted to mount them facing foward but they were so big there was just not room. Its actually a very clean and neat install...I will get pics ASAP and post them.

With that small of a tank how long can you depress the horn.

I have the HB Conductor special hornset on my daily beater and it is in fact VERY LOUD

Here's a short vid:

HornBlaster Horn Test

It's probably the loudest set of budget horns you can possibly buy IMHO

However, they're not nearly as loud as actual Locomotive horns....

I recently picked up a Nathan/AirChime K3LA and with a dinky 1/4" inlet and only 80psi, it was clearly 3 times louder than my HB horns

Here's a short test vid in the shop:

K3 Shop Test

I'll be using a 3/4" non restricted line and 150psi when I install this badboy

For about 5 seconds....but I cant imagine you would hold it for even that long blowing at someone. A "toot" is about all it takes to scare the hell out of somebody.
