I filled out the info online, took less than a week to get the papers. Ford were also kind enough to request the papers on my behalf also, so I got two packages. This is about the only thing Ford have done for me during this whole disaster.
All looks pretty straightforward, only thing that I was told by others was to be VERY specific in the section of what you are seeking out of the resolution. If it's vague or very general it will hurt you when you go to arbitration as the manufacturer will continue to say they will fix the vehicle and the arbitrator will go along with that as you didn't specify exactly what you wanted.

Not sure how true all that is, especially if the vehicle has a screaming bad service history(like mine) but I can see the truth in it.

Got the truck back last night; was told they could not duplicate my 4WD problem and the rough idle is still there. Shop foreman(really good guy) told me he believes the rough idle is an engine calibration issue and he needs to have the Ford engineer look into it, nothing more he can do about it but he does believe it is somehow associated with the shudder on acceleration and a lean condition at 50mph. He also told me he has requested that Ford replace the ring and pinion to get rid of the driveline vibration, he is still very unhappy with how bad it vibrates. No word on whether Ford have ok'ed it yet or when it will be done.

Because if they knew what they were doing in the first place this would not be happening. Good luck with Ford I know what it's like. :santa:

Its good that they told you to start the process. I worked very close with the service manager at my dealer. He even wrote me a letter to send in with my packet.

When you do submit your packet be sure to send a narrative of all the visits you make. I included all dates, names, times, service order numbers and all other details. Also include a letter from your service manager if possible.

In the end it worked out well for me. I got a new truck and even a few dollars back. Good luck to you.

Dont tell me your gonna start again? If so, we dont want to hear it...go back to the "I got a perfect truck" thread.

Im not trying to be an ***, but we've been here before and this doesnt need to turn into another one of those threads.

Ford told me the exact same thing; they will not buy back a vehicle unless they are forced to do it through the BBB or the Lemon Law. Lemon Law is a little more complicated as you are invoking state and federal laws, there are court/attorney costs and the first thing they will ask you is have you tried arbitration. Going through the BBB arbitration process is free and as long as you have all your paperwork in order and can show the problems have impacted the use, safety or value of the vehicle it seems to work out pretty well.
Mine more than qualifies for the Lemon Law route but I'd prefer to get this done as painlessly as possible, I've just finished doing the paperwork to send off to the BBB.
