I VE requested a buy back
Stupid question - but what is the vibration? Is it driveline or suspension?
I searched and spent quite some time reading about it, but all the threads are discussions about lemon law, BBB, or buy backs and nothing about what the actual problem is.
I don't have it, but want to keep my eyes open and consider myself informed..

My vibration is driveline, from what Ford are currently telling me it is caused by the gears in the rear differential and there is no current solid fix. Everything from driveshaft balancing to frame dampers have not gotten rid of it. It is felt as a strong vibration/oscillation in the steering wheel and the bed shaking like crazy. It's especially noticeable at 45-55mph and 65-75mph. Tires have been balanced/rotated/changed and it is not a tire problem. Steering wheel will oscillate about 1" above and below straight position.

Just curious how that all worked out.

As for the replacement, you can take any Ford vehicle on any lot, or you can order what you want. Since the MSRP of my Expy was more than the F150, I was liable for the difference in the 2 MSRP's, + tax on that difference and tag transfer fees. I also was refunded/credited the full price for all of my add-ons (tonneau cover, Line-X, floor mats, tint, etc.), but I was charged $1,300 and change for mileage ($0.175 per mile, I think). If any of your add-ons can be transfered to the new vehicle they will move them over at no charge.
If you let them replace your truck with a "comparable model replacement", be careful. From my talk with the lady at Ford comparable is not really comparable. She said the trucks would be comparable, but in my case my F150 had the moonroof. That option was considered to be an appearance item or something like that and would not have to be on your new truck. In my opinion, everything you paid for on your truck should be on the new one, regardless. That didn't sit well with me, but I had already decided not to get another F150 anyway. Just be aware of things like that in case it comes up. Good luck to you and everyone else that's going thru this and I hope everything works out in your favor. I know that I really loved my truck and it was a hard decision not to get another one. I'm still not satisfied that they have all of the problems worked out of them yet. Many people here haven't had any problems with theirs, but those of us that have know it's not any fun to deal with.

Luckily I don't have this issue (knock on wood).. but best of luck to all of you.. I hope it works out!!
Well I finally got the call from Ford today. They are scheduling the rep to fix my truck and hopefully it will be in the next day or two. He said this will be the last effort to fix it and if the rep says he cant fix it, then they will proceed with either a buyback or a replacement. Wish me luck...
Now the battle is whether or not they are going to provide a loaner if the truck has to stay in the shop overnight...ughh
