My 04 scab had a bad right tie rod twice, one at 12k and again at 30k, my tires were showing threads they weren't going to replace them (tires) until I bitched at the owner of the dealership and reminded him my family bought 4 vehicals from him in a year and a half...

Service Writer contacted the "front end expert" & he said that he could fix the alignment problem in one hour. Tires had to be ordered & will arrive Monday. Appointment is 2PM Monday. Looks like I have a new dealer to give all my business to.......

Thanks for everybody's help here....... I'm so glad I discovered this place....... You people rock!!!
When I used to work at ETD tire, if those tires were that bad, we would not have done an allignment as those tires would give an incorrect reading as the tire was not within spec. If I were you, when the new tires came in, I would demand another allignment to prevent abnormal wear.

Try this before you take it in, jack the front end up and see if there is any play by moving the wheel back and forth, I checked mine when I was changing my oil. If there is play you will feel a clunk as you move it .. I find it hard to belive that I'm the only one that had 2 bad tie rods... by the way the dealership had 5 guys tell me there was nothing loose until I jacked the truck up in their parking lot and showed the f'n idiots myself..... wow they said I had a bad tie rod....
