Ham - Just wanted to say thanks for the info, like I said earlier I was looking into the A1 electric life kit but I really like oem better and it seems like it even cheaper. The link you posted simply says window motor and doesnt say anything about regulator but it is all one assembly right? And FYI for anyone else interested, this is a little cheaper - oem window motor

If you are going with factory parts, you will need the left and right side window regulators for the front doors, and also the left and right side window regulators for the rear doors. The factory window regulators come with the motors. Then all you need to buy is a 4 window switch kit from anywhere. The switch kits usually come with all the wiring. That should be the only parts you really need.

The boot is located in the door jamb and allows the wires to pass through from the inside of the truck to the inside of the door.

I recommend you go to a1electrics.com and get the joker stlye switches for four doors. The wiring harness comes with the switches. These are very high quality switches and wires.

difficulty??

How hard is it to remove/install the windows?? It's just unbolt and replace right?? and what about the wiring I looked at the diagram and couldn't find anything for that. is it just a matter of splicing and plugging a few wires?? also if I want to just push the button once and have auto up and down is that an additional part?? You guys are a life saver. Also why does ford sell (2) different set ups for the motor and then a seperate regulator for an 05?? This is confusing. About the boot if I already have one in the door can't I just use that?? Thanks again for all your invaluable help.

I just ordered these parts from the website mentioned above (thank you) can someone make sure this is correct?? I am going to go with the Joker switch kit as well. does anyone have the wiring diagram for the windows?? I am pretty retarded when it comes to electrical unless the directions are easy to understand like hooking up a stereo.

Wouldnt it have been cheaper just to buy the truck with power windows already installed?? And has anyone put in a power rear window conversion?

Nope

It wouldn't have been. I got this truck for trade in value and it didnt have that option on it. Yes rear windows have been done. I am happy with my truck overall.

STX's don't come with that option from the factory, and at my lot the cheapest thing over an STX was 5 to 6 thousand dollars more. You can't get the power windows without a lot of other stuff.

Does anyone have any pictures of what the OEM motor looks like, or describe it.

I'd also like to see some pics of installs if anyone has some.

I want to get power windows, but i'm undicided whether to go with Colibri or just buy OEM parts? How much slower do you think the aftermarket kit is?

As far as the wiring goes, do you just need to tap into any switched 12v power source?

Thanks for any info/suggestions on what to get.
