P.I.E. for dummies... XM Roady2 as well. Lots of pix, 56K beware

yeah....probably....either way...I dont mind it on the roof....it is one of the "micro" antennas....so it is barley noticable anyway....

Oh I am.....I just wish I could get some tickets.....I may run down to Busch after work anyway and see if I can get a "standing room only" ticket.....nonetheless, there will be one hell of a party in Kiener Plaza before (and hopefully after) the game....

You guys that can't get the Astros/Cards game on the radio, just stream off of ktrh.com and you can hear the last game broadcasted from Busch Stadium
Of course i'm a Stros fan, but I have a lot of respect for the Cardinals. Their a class act ballclub. I think the Stros and Cards mirror each other in that respect.
I have to tell you though, last night I made a shirt with the Astros logo that says, "Walk Pujols...." Damn that game Monday night was a heartbreaker! We'll make up for it tonight though

Agreed!
All I ask for tonight is a game that will rise above all games....I would really like for this series to go all 7 games....
Anyway...back to the P.I.E.
Now to get this thread back on track....
I installed the P.I.E. last night.....and I must say....this thing has brought my satellite radio to another level of quality....it is by far just as good if not better than CD quality.... and it was "easy as pie" to install.....
I noticed that Dzervit hooked it up with an extra stereo adapter for those times you may need to hook up an extra device....well I did the same....
...after the install was done, I noticed that one side of the speakers did not work....I figured I fooked something up on the install and did not ground it correctly....so I did some trouble shooting and reallized that my extra stereo pluc was what was grounding out....so....if you plan to do an extra hook-up....make sure your extra stereo plug is not touching metal when not in use....
....this product is well worth the investment....

Good note for the extra plug - watch that metal!
Anywho, after gloating about the excellent reception from my dash-mounted antenna, today's commute it puked out under EVERY overpass. WTF?! It made me laugh... weird stuff.

Thanks for the update and install tips guys. My micro antennae is mounted forward on the dash just behind the VIN and I seem to have great reception, unless going into parking garages and under wide bridges.
Question though, would you mind going into detail on how to split the wires to have two RCA Pre-Outs? I'd like to do the same for when I end up getting an I-Pod.
Congrats to the Cards on a great season. Hopefully the Stros can take it the rest of the way!
Thanks

The Astros have my support for the rest of the season....
...as for the dual RCA connection....I just got some RCA splitters from Radio shack....see the first pic that Dzervit displays in this thread.....attach a splitter to each RCA port on the P.I.E. and then attach the two RCA/Stereo cords accordingly....
Hey D:
Where did you ground the Pie at? I attached a wiring connector similar to this:

to the ground wire of the P.I.E. and then sliped it between the dash molding and the dash frame on the lower stereo bolt....thus sliped the bolt through the connector and was able to achieve metal on metal contact for the ground....
