I just got 20.03 MPG on a return trip from Bristol, Tenn to Eastern North Carolina on Monday and then drove around thru the city(484) Miles for the rest of the week. I filled up on Friday and it took 24.1 Gals I was getting almost 21.5 during the drive though. Just the daily drive to work every morning takes it toll less than 5 Miles to work.

Simply Genius Idea!!! Now my truck sounds like my old 4.0 v6 ranger 4x4 with 3" holes drilled in the airbox... Sounds aggresive!! Cant wait for the K&N drop in and magnaflow set up, will really sound sweet!

Yes, this is mostly highway mpg. but some city driving in and around Roswell/Kennesaw, Ga. I think with the tonneau and having the 4.6 with 3.55's also reg. cab makes truck lighter and more aerodynamic or something maybe. I'm just glad it's like that.

Hose that runs to the tube....

How do you disconnect that hose that runs to the "L" tube or the elbow the runs to the TB?

there is a clamp on either side of the L part that you just unscrew to loosen and then just pull it off and then there is the hose that connects to the back. there is a green lever that you push to the side and it disconnects easily.

Did this tonite on my 01 4.6L, everything worked great, but boy was that silencer hard to get out. Definetly can feel better throttle response.

Just did this mod on my 2006 SuperCab XLT. I don't know if it's just the sound giving the perception, but, it does feel like it made a difference!

Thanks for posting this info!
