I have had mine for three days and noticed that the black paint in the F-150 has a pice missing in the "1" in the passenger side. I am going to take it back and have them touch it up plus a couple other small (very small, but i found them) paint nicks in the body of the truck.

Mine is still as nice as day one...but I have seen alot of work truck 150 and 250s that get washed with a pressure washer and the coloring is all gone.

Well than don't take it off? I really don't see them messing with your computer about your emblems but you really never know!

Ford flaw.....took ours to an Alabama dealer friday and after taking a digital photo and sending it to Dearborn...they ordered us a new one. Funny, a walk around the dealership's lot turned up a brand new truck with the same problem.....

I have 3600 miles on mine and the paints come off of the 1, would they redo it. Is that something that's covered under warranty, I also noticed on my passenger side the paint is scratch near the window.

I don't see what's so wrong with having it ALL come off. Those things look pretty sweet when they are all chrome. If it's the stigma of having someone be able to read "F-150" from across the street, then I guess I can understand it.

When you pride the thing around town, Chevy owners are going to know it's a Ford because they've done extensive comparison testing research trying to come up with creative ways of making their trucks sound better (like, "better resale value" and "mine has OnStar").

Everyone else is gonna know what just passed them doing 90 with those big honkin' front and rear ovals that are on the thing.

If I were you, I'd let 'em be chrome - then you don't have to worry about looking at both logos everytime you get out of your truck.

Took the black off mine the first day I had it. Get a lot of people around here asking me what I did and how I did it. I love the way it looks all chrome.

I took all the paint off my old F150 (1999) and everyone was asking me as well...simple acetone, I was brave and did it on the truck instead of new decals but I taped it off extra thick....it was actually pretty cool.
