SuperCab VS SuperCrew

We've since traded my mom's Grand Marquis in on an '05 Expedition. Since we've got most of the big stuff that we can handle out of the way (we'll let the moving company handle the rest, or rent a U-Haul truck), now all the light things can easily be toted in the Expy. Fold the third row seats, fold one of the second, and a lot of stuff can be stowed away safely from the elements. And we've got the added bonus of putting a trailer to the Expedition if need be. Best of both worlds. But I'm a truck guy at heart.

Well, to be honest, I was swayed by the deal on the one I got...got a good deal because the dealer had too many scabs...What I really would love would be a reg cab V8 with 5spd manual and 4wd (which they don't make, so oh-well...). I had my last truck (1993 Toyota Pickup) since new, and wanted something new and reliable. I said I was a practical person, but I slipped. I was looking for a used Dodge or Toyota fullsize, I wouldn't have bought the older F150 at gunpoint, and I'd have shot myself before buying a Chevy.
I usually have more willpower than that, but when I saw that bright red F150 SCAB...it called to me, said "buy me...." So, I did. I hadn't even seen a reg cab before that. Buyer's remorse, I guess...wish I would have waited.
Those super cabs don't seem to have a lot of wiggle room:

The max speed of 3.4 mph forward and reverse would also make me have to stick with the supercrew.
And in case someone needs more information about the mods on this guy's truck:

Its all in personal preference. I have 3 ATVs, and there is no stock truck that can haul that, unless you have a flat bed on your truck and thats besides the point. I need the supercrew to haul other adults comfortably and to haul mine and/or thier ATVs wherever we want to. Thats why I have the supercrew and I am sure everyone else has their own story just like that for why they got the regular cab, supercab, supercrew, STX, XL, XLT, LOBO, FX4, Lariat, or King Ranch.

It doesn't matter how long your bed is, it makes no sense to make multiple trips if it can be done in 1.

Spoken like someone who hasn't moved a household across town. Twenty trips beats one big one any day. Last time I moved, many years ago, I used my CJ7 with a small trailer. Load, run four miles, unload and distribute the stuff, then do it again. U-hauls and other big boxes are great for cross country. Local, you want just enough that the person(s) putting it away can getter done while you go get the next load.
The easy way to do it.

[QUOTE=Quintin]From an asthetic standpoint, I think Supercrews look kinda out of proportion, QUOTE]
i agree, the front doors are too small and the bed length doesnt match the height, kinda goofy if you ask me..

GoSlow? Does that truck have the 3MM or the 6MM lift kit on it?

Even though there's no dodge truck listed on that page, the F-150 is also better than it: "a longer body than the Dodge Ram"
