In Dash DVD Units

I searched and came up with nothing that I was looking for...

Well I already have a head unit but Im really thinking about upgrading which I should of done from the very begining but we all make mistakes right? Im looking for some opinions from people that have them, I really don't need Navi but I really like the look of the Kenwood Excelon DDX7015. Are there any others like this? I definatly need something that I can hook my I-Pod up to.

How many different double size ones are there besides the Kenwood?

After thinking about it I asked myself why would I pay this much and not just save for the navi because I'll probally be kicking myself in the *** in the end because I didn't get it.

Im looking at between these 2 models. I would like to know which one you like and where you found it cheapest? Thanks in advance!

Pioneer AVIC-N2 - $2000

KVT-715DVD receiver/monitor with the navi package - $2300

I also wanted to ask how hard is it to disable the lock that won't allow you to play DVDs while in any other gear than park? and how exactly does it work?

all it is, to ground the wire that is they want you to put on your e-brake, not that hard it should be the longest wire in the harness

Not hard at all. Instead of hooking one wire up to the parking brake switch, you hook it to ground.

Well Im still undecided, can someone point out what the differences are between these 3 units and which one they would pick if money was not an object.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ETg2wad...g=143350&avf=N

Of course Im not going to pay Crutchfield's outragous prices. Also I want to hook up a PS2 to whatever one I get. I'd be able to do that with all 3 correct? I also would like to know if it's possible for me to hook up the PS2, an I-Pod using the monster cable, and a backup camera. Sorry for all the questions but I really know nothing about stereos.

Thanks everyone that has already helped and anyone that is
willing to share their knowledge with me!

*EDIT* My friend just told me the AVIC-N2 is not capable of using GPS or DVD while driving is this true?

torresu:

Are you able to drive with it on, using the navigation or dvd?
