04's MP3 Capabilities?
I understand that some of the 05's have the capability to play MP3 format discs, but does anyone know if the 04's can do the same with the 6-Disc Audiophile system?
The reason being is that I used Nero to burn my MP3's and when I put the disc in, it just ejects it right away.
Thanks for any input,
Carl

Any know the specific MP3 spec's. Our '05 Audiophile unit says "MP3" on it, so I'm guessing it will work. But I'm wondering if I can use higher quality MP3's (like 256k instead of 128k bit rate).
Anyone try this?
We're looking forward to using MP3's so that we can use the text display feature. Plus, I can put my music in one folder and my wifes in another (she likes country and I like rock). Will this work?

You can record in any bitrate and any folder organization, but there is a limit to how many songs you put in a folder. I will tell you that the display while playing mp3 sucks!!!! it doesn't display the mp3 tag until your about 5 seconds into the song. it shows F1 T1 as the song title until it switches, so if you don't know your disc, you'll be looking forever fo what you want to hear.

My first mp3 disc had 106 songs in it, in one folder, and no problems whatsoever.

I know the manual says what the limit is, and if I think about it I'll look it up when I get off work. (maybe during lunch).
Also, the songs must be located in a folder, not loose on the disc, or the radio won't read it.
Another post on here says that discs must be burned as data, not mp3 music disc. This makes sense since the radio reads F1 T1.
