Question DJM drop shackles for 04’s (problem Need Help)

I got a problem. I just received my DJM lowering shackles and they are the wrong ones (I think?) unless my stock shackles are different from most trucks. My stock shackle boltholes measure 4 ½” on center. The DJM shackle (part # SH32042) boltholes measure 7” and 8” on center. That would be a 2 ½” or a 3 ½” drop not the 1” or 2” drop I thought I was getting. I called stylinconcepts and they gave me DJM’s 1-800 # to call when they open today in CA. I was wondering if anybody could tell me what their stock shackles measure? I would appreciate your help greatly.
Thanks

I'll trade you if thats the case...... My DJM drop shackles could afford to get dropped an extra inch that yours supposedly have The 2 inch drop looks good, but still has hella ugly rake IMO

False Alarm
They are the right ones after all. I never took into consideration the geometry of the install. The axle only travels half the distance the shackle does. D’OH!

Very Nice JP

Looks great! I just installed the shackels last weekend as well. Haven't have time to shine her up for updated pics though (also installed the Advance Cover). But the results are obviously the same.

How do you like it? I could tell the difference right away, had to adjust my seat angle.

I like the near level look and the way it rides. A couple inches make a big difference in appearance and the better view you get out the back window. Let me ask you baroy, did you use the Pinion Shim Kit with your shackles? I heard that some used them and some didn’t. I’ve only had the shackles in for a day and so far I don’t feel any vibration that is supposedly associated with changing the pinion angle when you drop the rear.

I did not use shims. I debated over that, but eventually bought a set without shims. I have no vibration at all for the last 9 days and am satisfied that I don't need them. I was sure that I was going to be the 1 in 100 that would get a vibe from a 2" drop, but luckily didn't.

The rear view is GREAT now, and it is so much easier to access the bed. I didn't think that 2" would make such a difference in the tailgate height, but everything seems so much more accessible now, I love it.

Anyway, I hope to get her cleaned up this week and post the new pics before I leave for vacation this weekend.

Good luck and it looks great!

Thank you all for the gracious complements on how my truck looks but I must confess those pics were taken immediately after the shackle install and it wasn’t very clean. In fact, in hasn’t been washed since last Saturday. The camera was very kind to me yesterday.

I had a 2003 Lightning and did the the two inch shackles, It took me about 1/2 houre. I also swaped out my leafs in that truck too, It was a little more time consuming!

Lookin good.
I cant wait to lower the **** end of my truck! Lookin good.
