06 Harley Head/Tail lights

Im not sure if yall have seen them yet, but the headlights and tail lights for the 06 harley edition are what they call "blacked out". I cant wait for these things to come out, even though I probably wont be able to afford them. They should be able to just bolt right into where the regular headlights go...right? How much are the regular headlights on these things anyway?

Now that I look at it more, it seems that all they did was paint parts of the headlight black. Is this possible to do on your own? Thanks in advance, RV

You could go to www.fordpartsonline.com and look up the price of the OEM lights. You can bet those will cost more when they become available!

The origingal headlites are about $200/pr. on ebay but they are sealed units and are not easy to disassemble if one wanted to do the 'black out' treatment to them.
heres the link to the f150 harley gallery:

SVTErick - When you do do this, please make sure you post the results on your work ie type of paint used, areas painted, what it took to take the light apart, and then any leakage problems.
