Dumb Question but I need to know

I am in the early stages of buying a 2005 F-150 and I keep seeing references on this forum to D-Plan and X-Plan that appear to be saving lots of $$$. Can someone tell me what these plans mean or point me to someplace where I can read about them.

Thanks

they refer to Ford sponsored discounts.

A Plan is the employee discount. Best discount available.

X Plan is a friends & Family rate which is favourable, but not as much as A Plan.

Im not 100% sure, but I think D Plan is the Ford retirees discount.

And of course you can only qualify for these plans if you work for or are directly family of someone that works for a Ford supplier...a retiree...or are an employee.

Thanks for the information. I don't think I can qualify for any of the plans but it is good to know what they mean.

Use the search function and type in X-plan. Read through a thread by suavy. There is a lot of very beneficial info in there for you, trust me.

Max123 thanks for the tip. I have sent the information to Suavy and I hope I can get the discount. This is a great forum and I really appreciate the help.

A is for people who work directly for ford. (and immediate family)

D is for people that work for a franchise dealership. (and immediate family)

X is for people that work for a company that has a partnership with ford.

Thank god for my retired step-father in-law.

BTW, Z plan = A plan.
