NEED OPINION! to many options!

I've been posting alot and reading as much as I can considering I'm only 17 and I'm always learning. Anyways, I'm gonna have about $450 that I can put into my truck finally (this mod bug is itching me like crazy... especially since this forum). Right now I'm looking at three options.

Option 1: I found a very helpful guy on the other big ford forum that will sell me his 4x4 spacers and shocks for $100 shipped, I can get the 2.5'" autospring, and still have enough for install and probably a new flowmaster muffler.... my one concern about this option is the tires looking to small

Option 2: I can get 2" autospring to level it out, flowmaster muffler, and tinted windows

so basically the choice is between higher and unlevel (though slightly more than the 4x4) or lower and level

ps - heres my truck to help your decision : https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=4990

I vote option #2. Level it out (makes the truck look much better overal) get the flowmaster muffler (great sound and maybe some performance) and tint the windows (should look great with the black grill and mirrors.) Just my opinion, it's all really personal preference.

Which Flowmaster do you recommend? At the Flowmaster web page they do not show a direct replacement for the 04 F-150 or it could be that I missed it.

I agree.

Option #2, I have a friend with a 1500 and he has a flowmaster 50 some drone in the cabin.

Another vote for option 2. Truck will look better plus performance boost.

I've thought about a Flowmaster also but having a tough time trying to convince myself to replace a brand new exhaust.

alright.... thanks for the replies! I think yall convinced me on option 2. But now I have a quick question. Could I get the 2.5" autospring instead of the 2" just in case I decided to get the blocks later down the road or would the nose be in the air?

Im going with option #3 also, the most bang for the buck.
but really, get the 2" daystar and tint the windows and skip the drone of the flowmaster unit.
You have a nice looking truck there, but I'm partial to painted bumpers!

I had the 2.5" autospring (the original one, which jacked my truck up about 3.5 inches) and it dwarfed my front tires.

I say go with option 2, unless you can get some bigger tires under there.

Option #2, I also have the Autosprings 2", IMO it looks just right. I also have the tinted windows and the flowmaster 50 series. (single in, dual out) absolutely no drone in the cab.

gear slammer - I love your truck, which is why I orignally looked for the 2" rear blocks. I do plan on getting bigger tires but I dont know how long it will be till I can though. Would you still suggest just he 2" autospring up front. For exhaust I was planning on going with the super 40. If I get exhaust I want to be able to hear a nice difference but not so much that I can;t drive at night without waking the neighbors. Would the super 40 be what im looking for?

KaNigIt,

I say go with option #2, mostly for one reason: Houston = Hot = Tinted Windows

I live in S. Texas and had to get the tint done pronto when I got my truck. You have a sweet ride;
when I was 17, I was still borrowing one of my Dad's clunkers.

Let me second option #2 again.

wattman1 missed one additonal part

17 + option #2 = Houston Hotties (I know what I was doing at 17 and I was looking for performance but not from the truck)

Get the performance after you get some more money, option 2 gives you an even sweetier ride come summer. Just my .02cents
