150 Keyless Entry Door Handle

My 04 XLT has keyless entry but I do not have the keyless entry for the door handle. If I buy this part from Ford, which is not a bad price, can I install this on my truck to make it keyless entry on the door handle? Thanks

Bryan

First, I appologize for not knowing the answer to your questions but, I did want to point out that there was a key pad for sale on ebay...

Thought that might save you a buck or two.

all you have to do is cycle the ignition 8 times and wait for the door locks to cycle, then hit any button on your key fob, then hit any button on the new door pad, and its programmed.....

romeoz,

Let me understand, you have the keyless entry on your truck now (came that way with the truck). You just need the code?

The keyless entrypad that is on the door from the factory, is monted into the door and has wires.

You can buy a easy mount aftermarket ford keyless entry doorpad from the dealer, if you didnt get one from the factory. From what I have rear this one just sticks to the door, uses batteries and doesnt require any wires to be run.

I dont like that easy mount one..I saw that at Ford but I want the Factory look....Do you know if the 04 F150 XLT that has keyless entry is pre wired for the keypad in the door handle? If someone knows that would be better than having to take my door panel apart. thanks

Try www.fordpartsnetwork.com email them and let them know what you are looking for. They always come up with Ford Part numbers for every thing I have inquired about.

I am getting ready to finish my install of power mirrors that I acuired from them and also the switch. I am not sure if everything else is already in the doors for power or not but I am sure I will find out in the next week.

Good luck as this is also something I am really interested in doing myself.

Windows and doors locks to come soon.

I know up untill the new body style change the 150 with power door locks were pre wired for the door keypad. Not sure on the new style.I would just pull the door panel and take a peak. You can also get the stick on type.If you don't like it on the door you could place it anywhere on the truck.Inside the bed ,behind the cab etc..

Fordparts network has the keypad right now for $119..

http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com/cata...splay/422.html

I have also emailed them to see if they carry the door handle with the keyfob/pad or if it multiple parts. The outside handle w/keyless is only $59. on there online catalog. Not sure if that comes with the pad tho.
