im going to add a 3" Skyjacker lift. so i want to know whats the best size tire to run with this wheel. thanks

Which wheel is this? Is that a -(negative) offset of 8" or 8mm?

its the Eagle Alloy 186 or 187 in 17x9. on www.aewheel.com it says that weel in 17x9 has a -8 offset. im having trouble seeing if this will fit.

With just over 4" of backspacing, the wheel will clear, but you may have some serious rubbing issues depending on the tire size you choose.

Generally, you'll be better served with a wheel closer to the lift manufacturers recommendation.

Here's a pic of my truck with 2" lift. 17x9 with +25 offset, 295/70-17 (33" tall) The wheel you describe will stick out 1.75" more than the one in the pic which is gonna put it closer to rubbing in the area shown. Put a bigger tire on and it's gonna be even closer.

i see what your talking about now. well then who makes some other 17" wheels in the offset i need then? thing is i could always go with these and a 33" tire and be ok i think.

red wing nut i love your wheels what brand are they? would those wheels allow me to run the 305/70's or the 285/70's?

based on your calculations i could run the 186 wheel which will be 1.75" further out than your wheel but if i get a 285/70/17 tire itll be a bit smaller than the tire your running now. question is if that balances itself out.

how about i hold back on the wheels and jjst put the 305's on the stock wheels? i may buy your same wheel RED WING NUT or one similar to that later on but for right now i guess ill buy the 305's or the 285's. so basically my question now is will the 305/70 tires fit on the stock tire with a 3" lift and will they fit fine on a 17" wheel with +25 offset?

Yes you would be OK with the stock wheels or wheels like mine and the 305/70's.
