Borla or Banks

I know these exhaust topics pop up alot and I have searched the site for both brands but havent found one that really matches these two up. So what do you guys think? The most important thing to me is #1 no drone noise in the cab and #2 a little more get up and go.

Thanks

Jeff

I put my Borla in 2 days ago and i would highly recomend it.
There is no drone at all infact its quieter at crusing speed than stock, but has a great rummble when you want it.
I would also say it has added a pretty decent kick.
socalmotorsports is were i bought mine it was the cheapest,
$580 for sido. Worth every penny.

I paid $509 shipped from Banks themselves. It should be here next week, can't wait!

Both systems have little drone. With the Banks, you get a 5" exhaust tip, if thats your thing.

I've the Banks system & love it. I would say they're about = in sound because the muffler is about the same design. The only real difference is Banks one has one option for exit location/number. On the flip side the Banks signle is stepped 3" before the muffler, 3.5" after, & 5" tip. I ordered mine for a little over $436 from proficientperformance.com. I don't think you can really go wrong with either.

Thanks for the input. I think im leaning in the Banks direction. I signed up on there web site today to get some info on there dyno numbers, within an hour I got a call from one of ther reps to see if I had any questions, mind you I only filled out the form and didnt ask for a call. Either they have really great customer service or they are really slow, either way I was impressed that they called. Usually you fill out those forms on web sites and you never hear a thing. I wonder if they will match the $436 if I order direct from the factory? One other item, how is the build quality.....fit/finish and such??

Exdodgeguy,

Yes they will negotiate, i just had a Banks Powerpack and transcommand installed on my motorhome at the Banks facility in Azuza. Cost was 3200.00, i also belong to another site like this but for RV's, and told them another guy got the same set-up from them for 700.00 less (which was true), they immeadeatly took the 700.00 off the price.

It's quite a nice set up actually. Everything fits together perfect. The muffler & tail pipe are both high pollish. One tip--put the hole system in before you tighten down any clamps. I think it even states so in the inst. , just a reminder. Takes about 1 hour to do with just a handfull of tools.
