1) Needed to replace the tow vehicle my son took to college (tired '96 Explorer);
2) Wanted a nice 4 door road vehicle (other cars are 2 door except my '54 Chevy... but it doesn't do long trips);
3) Hauling lawn debris and other stuff

The first F-150 I drove was the one I bought... not even a test drive. Dumb? Yes. Did it word out OK? Absolutely... the truck is great!

Had him search for the color I wanted and picked it up in 4 days!

Every single Ford I, or my family has purchased, has been excellent. I see no reason to change. I actually went to by a new Ranger. The rebates and financing are what made me move now, I would have normally waited until my wife's Taurus was paid off. When we got to the dealership, my wife started talking about how we needed more passenger room, since we always use her car to go places (funny how they always wait until the last minute). I had admired the '04 styling for quite a while, especially the interior. The salesman said I could get a Heritage for a few thousand less, but I didn't even want to look at them. If I was going full size, I wanted the '04. After driving one, it was all over...

the 98 F150 was getting long in the tooth (very high mileage) and was ready for trade in. The lease was up on the Focus and also needed replacing.

As both wifey and I are suburban commuters, we take commuter rail to downtown Toronto. When all was taken into account we only truly needed 1 vehicle (previously, the truck sat idle all week and the Focus would sit idle all weekend)

So we opted for the all-in-one vehicle. A 4x4 SuperCrew... seating for 5, go anywhere traction, bed for cargo, luxo ride...

Didnt truct Dodge reliability, Chev didnt have a crew (didnt like the look either) Tundra was too small and Titan just wasnt for me.

The 98 was problem free in 6-1/2 years so I went Ford again. My late father was a contractor and had a fleet of Fords that regularly had the snot beat out of them. No doubt in my mind the Ford was a quality vehicle.

A friend had a new Lariat Screw and gave me a ride. Loved the truck but wanted a Super Duty in the worst way. One night, I stopped at the local dealership while on a motorcycle ride around town. It was the first time that I saw a Blazing yellow with the flareside. It seemed to jump out and grab my attention. The next morning, I checked out the cool interior with the sport leather seats. Finally, the test drive knocked me off my feet. The last straw was the final price after subtracting the X plan, rebate and money back through Ford Credit. It was nearly $10,000 off list, about a 25% savings. I love my truck more each day. Someday the Super Duty might tickle me once it has more styling like the F150, but then again, nothing looks sportier on the road.
