Texas Ranch F150

I got bored and rode around town today with my digital camera. I've been meaning to get a picture of one of these things for a while, and I finally did today. I think the dealer that's selling these gets an outside company, I wanna say Choo-Choo Customs, to re-upholster in the interior in some nicer leather (whether or not it's real castano(sp?) leather like in a King Ranch, I'm not sure, it sure looks the part though), paint the fender flares body color, add a billet grill and some "Texas Ranch Edition" badges. All the ones I've seen start life off as Lariat Supercrews, all except one on the lot I saw were 4x4s.

The leather seating, steering wheel, a cheesy looking wood stick on trim package on the dash and console, a billet grill, body painted fender flares, and some badging is all I think.

Did you get a pic of the interior?
Yeah, but a real lousy one, I was running out of dry weather to take this one:

It looks an awful lot like the high zoot leather in a King Ranch, but I don't know whether it's the real deal or not. For $7500, I sure hope it is, although I think this dealer shot themselves in the foot with these things, with the '05 KR coming out and all.

Yep, I think that dealer made a mistake...actually a few mistakes. No way I would pony up an extra $7990 for something that is displayed on the lot with a Dealer's sticker that looks like that. Supposedly that sticker is "selling" or marketing the $7990 "Texas Ranch" package and it looks like it was scribbled by an 8-year old.

Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: Prices

WAY overpriced. Why settle for a 'copy' when you can order an 05 King Ranch SuperCrew? We already have a couple of members that have ordered them for CONSIDERABLY less money.

They had about six of them on the lot...and strangely enough, I remember most of them from about six months ago, when I was first looking for my '04. They haven't been selling very well. Gee, I wonder why...

I've seen a few on the dealerships, mostly in black or white. Some had chrome guards over the front and back lights.

One salesman told me they were using them to fill the void of not having a King Ranch in the 04. I'm not sure how well they're selling, but the quality struck me as cheap. My father commented that the seats smelled like a Buffalo's @ss. Don't ask me how he knows that

I had a 99- 150 Monroe Sport done from Wisconsin bought in Chicago. They did a great job of all the add on's. It had more wood grain then a Lincoln. Dealers have to do something to attract and that is one great attraction there. We need more so we can work less in our add on's right .The 99 had a add price of $2200. Bug shield ,molded running boards( fit flare with mud guard's )wood grain accent's front and rear. lo rider hard cover, dual exhaust.
