Maybe I should be on the design team or QC at Ford... Any recruiters out there listening???
If you don’t have the Premium/Audiophile 6/CD sound system, just the 6/CD head, you need a subwoofer, bass amp, and a pair of tweeters to bring it up to snuff.

Yea, I guess 52 complaints is a little high, considering they only sold 800,000 units or so.

I have had mine in from everything from the fan to the transfercase being replaced. I have 15k miles on it and after all is said and done I would still not trade my truck for anything else.

mjninke, how would you like some

??

But in all honesty, I could care less what any website says about how bad this truck is. You want to know why? I dont see a section where people who dont have ANY problems can report. On top of that, if your truck had nothing wrong with it, would you even be looking at those sites right now?

My FX4 is good as gold!

As for that web site that has the registered complaints

1. I think that is a pretty good ratio compaired to how may units ford produces.

2. I find that interesting that all the other vehicals on that list are foreign (toyota, nissan)

Yes we want some of that Ford cake...I like to give both bad and good news on a topic...So I agree a site should give you a place to report both sides of an issue...The good as well as the bad...

Boy that cake looks good...and me not allowed to have any...Diabetes sucks...

I still love my fords...

Out of 2 dozen plus vechicles I've owned in the past this F150 has had the most defects of all them combined.

1)**** poor fit&finish of paint and body
2)Radio volume surges
3)passenger side brakes screwey
4)front tires feathered
5)rear differentail cover leaking
6)poor throttle response+doesn't feel like 300hp
7)Dealer buff burned fender and put 2 holes in lower dash dr side
All this within first 2k miles. Can't wait to see what else happens

What is with the sarcasim...

We are all Ford truck drivers who purshased this model truck with our hard earned money.

For those who have a truck without issue I am happy for you! Please understand however, all we expect is a problem free truck and the positive experience (that you are having).

For those who have problems it is NOT to much to expect for Ford to promply address and correct them.

Considering we ponnied up +30k (just like you did) I think it is very reasonable to expect it would spend more time in the driveway then the service bay...

Ford sure didn't have an issue taking our checks...

Jim

*** UPDATE ***

Some promising news anyway for my vibration and crappy air cond. system...

Ford did I think figure out the problems...

Mine was built 04/27/04 and it has the latest PCM from factory, and it has the dampener installed from the factory...

The driveshaft and axle assemble are going to be replaced and come pre-assembled from the factory. They just remove the brakes and thats it!

The problem doesn't seem to be with the LS, that problem has been cured with updated clutch packs... The vibration problem is seperate from that... In mine I noticed a drone from 55-65 in addition to all the time slight vibration and axel hummmmm....

The problem I am having seems to be (from what I gather from ford and the dealership) a mismatch of the axel tubes, not the LS or pumpkin...

I dont think you would have to worry about your diabetes, since that is some cheese to go with some of the
going on in this thread

My truck has been great just the pcm flash.
One thing that seems strange is that while it rides much better than my 2000 F250 superduty there is one section of road on my way to work where it rides worse. Its a newer section of road that was never right from day one, there must be something about the surface that transmits through the suspension. Just an observation not a complaint.
Just curious, isn't it red wine with fords?
Martha would know but she has her own problems now.
