Jake01,

I drove the truck to the dealer and told them that I don't want it back. Now nobody including the Ford representatives no what to do with my truck. It's a lemon in my opinion.

My truck has no issues, everything is great. ICE COLD A/C, no vibration at any speed, towing or not, no bed shake, super smooth ride, good gas mileage, etc., etc., etc., just perfect in every way.

That's funny... I hope you get it resolved. Some people get them bought back, and then some get laughed at... Not sure why???

I only have 3000 miles on mine and it has been in for its 5th service appt. today. I have a stupid Focus...

BTW: WHAT IS YOUR TRUCK FX4, LARIAT???

The dealer provided me with an 01' Expedition. The funny part is that the Expedition rides smooth as glass with no vibration issues. The 00 F-150 that I traded in for this new truck ride was better than the 04'....but I'm sure the vibration is the characteristic of the new 04' F-150.

I had an 01 F-150 XLT and now an 04, only thing i didn't like about the 01 was bed hop on the freeway, so far at 4000+ miles no problems with the 04.
But I can understand the frustration others must be going through with the steering vibe/rear end problems....putting myself in their shoes i think id be distraut and upset as well...sort of the ole..."why me" thing.

Fix

The reason I was asking for fixed or not, problems or not, is there is some with problems and some without. Some with fixed problems, some with no fixed problems.

I am wondering how much is dealer error in fixing or that it really can't be fixed...

I love my truck, I just don't want to have to take a 3000 mile truck to the dealer all the time...

This is by the best design, best truck ever built... I just want mine to drive like it is...

No vibrations so far with mine (1000 miles) but my AC could definitely be colder. Other than that it is perfect..

AIR COND. PROBLEMS...

For those of you with air cond. problems, what is your build date???

Mine is 04/04... I heard of a PCM update for this, but is there a newer one than 4/27/04 ???

Also, some found low freon or wrong pressures...

Mine seems to cycle quite a bit, even when it seems like it should stay on longer...

"but I'm sure the vibration is the characteristic of the new 04' F-150."

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Mine's smooth as butter from 1mph to 100. If it's a "characteristic" wouldn't they All have the vibration??

btw I've now got 11,000 miles on mine and have had it for 10 months and it's been Perfect as well. I've had it in to get the oil changed and that's it... I defnitely Don't Pamper this thing either!

I understand your frustrations though. You buy a new vehicle expecting it to be nice and reliable. I've got an Old's Bravada that's been in the shop for 4 Different oil leaks and a sputtering issue with the engine and it only has 36,000 miles on it. Hopefully they'll get it all worked out for you.

I hate it when my fuse blows and I have to drive all the way to the dealership to have it replaced. Oh, wait, that hasn't happened. Neither has anything else. I guess I'm in the 98 percentage of 04 F150 owners who doesn't have any problems with their truck. Dang it.

Unhappy...

Here's what I am most unhappy about at the moment...

1. Very easy - The AC is cool at best, not cold like it should be...

2. Vibration - Not as easy...

2.a. If I step on the gas, (full pedal) between 55-65 (or so) it rumbles through my truck...

2.b. If I have change in the cupholder and place a pop in it, I can't even think it is loud vibration, my pass. seat vibrates, my radar detector is gonna vibrate off the windshield, the jack under the seat vibrates, the lh door panel sounds loose. (MOST SPEEDS)...

2.c. While at constant speed city speeds or highway speeds lets say 60 or 75 steady, cruise on or not, there is a whine, not quiet like when I drove it off the lot...

Anyone else like this lemon???

On The Subject

Factory 6 disc sucks also...

My buddy has an 03 F-250 superduty and his stereo hurts my ears...

Mine doesn't have bass if the windows are rolled down and it destorts at not too high of volume...

Maybe I should be on the design team or QC at Ford... Any recruiters out there listening???

BHibbs,

Just being sarcastic. Some people are being told that the vibration they feel is the characteristic of the truck or some are even being told it's normal.

Take a ride in mine and you know the vibration is not normal.....
