True Duals Rock

Got my true duals today, (flowmaster 40 series with stainless tips) Sounds GREAT not to loud.... its just perfect for me... no highway drone, at 60 you can hear it just alittle until you get on it. A REALLY good muffler guy in Daytona Beach did the install for only $375 including all components. For all you considering cat backs i would deffinatly reconsider your options. But if you do go true duals make sure the guy doing the work knows his stuff.

Unless you have superman powers just a exhaust will not make big noticable improvement in power. 10hp on a 6060 lb. truck is not too noticable. With that said i see no loss in low end torque and can notice maybe a very slight difference, improvement in accerleration.... The only way to really see a loss or a gain by installing exhaust is to do a before and after dyno.. If a engine's exhaust is free thats only half the battle. If the engine cannot get air (intake) your exhaust HP gains will be minimal, when you free up both sides.... thats when you will see a difference. But the torque issue ....... i guaranty you will not notice it.

Man, I have been wanting to do my exhaust since I got my truck. I just havent had the money. $375? Thats pretty good for TRUE duals. I just want a low "tough" sound.

Probably the reason most people do it.... They like the look of the new tips, and the tone.

The only reason I think you would lose power is the lack of back pressure. I'm not an expert on engines, but that's my .02
