broke running board, fix or help other?

Howdy All:

I hope you are well.

I am new to the F150 family with a 04 XLT Supercab. Tonight I was trying to leverage a 2x4 against the running board to break the bead on a motorcycle tire(long story). Anyway I broke off a piece of the black running board. I have it glued back on right now and am waiting for it to cure. Is there a more permanent way to put it on? Could I heat it up with a torch, would it bond it more? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If none of this is going to work, does anyone know what a right side running board would cost me? Or better yet, has anyone replace theirs and would be willing to part with it for a reasonable amount?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards, tony

Looks like you can get one for about $300. I would call these guys and make sure you order the right part

If it’s a clean break that can be glued on just stick to that solution. Try some JB weld from behind along with a piece if fabric used in fiberglass applications.

Post some pics of the damage so we can take a look.
