I knew I should have taken the damn thing to a few local repair shops for some opinions. I'll post a pic of the letter a bit later. Basically lack of supporting documentation. I sent those bastards over 40 pages of ****.

It sounded like you had the bases covered in regards to documentation. I don't understand what was missing...

Item five of the company statement?

DrkShadow,

Your letter from the DSB states they based their decision on item five of the company statement - what was that?

5. How many days has the vehicle been out of service for warranty concern(s)? The customer states 10 days in the DSB applications. The dealer report from xxx Ford states 2 days. The dealer from xxx Ford LM states 7 days.

So I guess I have no recourse. but court

I guess unless your out of the vehicle over 30 days or something insane your outta luck? Even those they still won't honor their warranty?

So what's to keep you from taking it to another dealership to see what they think? Never give up against big companies if you truly have a real issue.

I just finished fighting the biggest homebuilder in the US and won. It took 5 years but I got all the problems fixed. Always, always go to the next person higher if you are not hearing the answer you want (with in reason). If you did not get to the owner of the dealership then you needed to go higher.

I am now about to go up against them and I am currently at the service manager, which IMHO is the starting point. The Ford FSE is not higher than the service manager, he is just another guy with an opinion, who has a boss with an opinion, who has another boss with an opinion, etc.. etc... etc.... Eventually you will get the results you deserve.

Any company will deal with the people the make the most noise. However, you have to get to the right level. It is not easy, and you have to be patient. My rule is that it is a business deal, you take it personally and they (Ford) have already won.

I was jsuttold my dealer would not do anything else. My vibration they said was measured between .4 and .5 which was within spec. Has anybody else been told what theirs is?

I don't expect it to ride as smooth as a car, but my other pickups (6) Ford and GM never had this annoying issue

Welp folks consider me as resigned from this damn vib club. I could take it no longer nor did I have any patience left to fight Ford in cort. I cut my loss and traded for an 05 F-250 CC today at lunch.

Funny part, this 250 is much smoother then the 04 F150 I had and it really should have been the other way around. So nice to enjoy my wheels once again.

Thanks for the patience in listening to me gripe about my old wheels.

Congrats DrkShadow,

I know you have to fight, keep hounding, go to the next level up etc...but one has to wonder is it worth it? Life is so short. Lick your wounds and walk away.

Good luck with your new truck. What did you get 5.4, V10 or the PSD?

Thanks. That was my thinking. Not worth it for a few bucks.

Went with the same motor 5.4L V8 with 3.73 LS. I love it. Rides awesome. Dealer is moving my $$ HU over tomorrow when they detail her. Hope they do a decent job. I'm doing the wiring for the Sat/Inverter stuff myself.

Dropped my vibrating lemon off this morning for the "last chance service attempt". Guess it's a matter of time now. Have the DSB paperwork in my hands.

rdblan2...keep all us members of the 'vibe club' posted as to your progress.

Has Ford tried the new aluminum driveshaft install yet?
