Sweeeeeeet

I like that.

And of course I have a stupid question about it.

ready?

I have always heard that putting the side exhaust in front of the tire can cause problems on long trips by heating that tire.

fact?
or
fiction?

[edit]Can you post a pic of the whole truck with the exhaust? I know, silly request.

1st question:
Well, I thought about the tire issue (heating up), then I thought, if that were true they would not make them this way.... I don't know, that's just my reasoning.......

2nd question:

Here ya go:

If it's too dark, I'll take another one....

i heard that exhaust will not fit if your intermediate pipe had a bend to the left or right. Did yours have a bend? If so how did you make it fit? That is the freaking exhaust I want, i'm so jealous. Looks sweet!

The Magnaflow dosen't sound "quite" like these Vance & Hines, but that's a different animal.

Damn, that does look nice!
I have owned a Class C Motorhome for over 4 years (460 C.I.) and the exhaust is positioned identical to fatman's, i have had absolutly no problems

Fatman, that's funny!!! It's a "FatBoy" 2001 Harley.

Mods I'm installing on Monday:

Lowering the rear end by 2" with new Ford U Bolts.

Wheels and Tires: 20x9 Wheels and 305x50x20 BF's

What do you think...????

I really tried to avoid the Bling=Bling Thing.... I hope I've pulled it off, otherwise the wheels will be for sale very shortly.

I also orderd Harley Center Caps from Ford to replace the blank Center Caps you see in the pics of the wheels.[IMG]

I bought it from hottexhaust.com, and I don't know if Troyer sells it.

It is Magnaflow Part# 15827
It has dual 2 1/2" pipes that open up at the polished ends to
3 1/2 ". This was particularly attractive to me.

I paid $476.05 Delivered

It has the Sound, Look and Fitment that "I" was trying to achieve.

At idle, it is very mellow, yet deep. When you accelerate, it dosen't quite crack like a Harley, but you'll definitely turn a few heads.

Sound is a very personal flavor, everyone will judge it differently.
I have a Fatboy to compare the sound too though, and again, on this truck I wouldn't want it any louder or for that matter, softer.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned all the rust on the OEM Muffler and Pipe.

I thought that thing was supposed to be a STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEM!!!

Is it cheap Stainless...? Is there such a thing?

Isn't that the bolt-on exhaust for an '01-'04 SVT Lightning. I had an '03 Lightning with that same exact kit on it.
