It may be "similar" but I'm sure the measurements are somewhat different along with the welded hangers. I don't think you could just swap it with the 01-04 Lightning Catback....???

I'm surprised no one has mentioned all the rust on the OEM Muffler and Pipe.

I thought that thing was supposed to be a STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEM!!!

Is it cheap Stainless...? Is there such a thing?
I just got here.

Thats not too good. Stainless isn't supposed to rust. ESPECIALLY not your setup, A 2004 Shouldnt be rusting already.

Hmmmm, wonder what mine looks like?

Rust

Its funny really, I have noticed the same thing, supposed to be stainless but yesterday I was cleaning my wheels and noticed that there was rust in the bottom of the exhaust pipe so I climbed underneath and was like holy hell. I am going to get an aftermarket exhaust anyways but still...... wtf is up with them using crap material

I got the info below from the Troyer website.
It is 10 bucks cheaper including delivery.

Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust System for 2004 Ford F-150 V8
15827 Magnaflow SIDO (Single In/Dual Out) Cat-Back Exhaust System for the 2004 Ford F-150 with either the 4.6 or the new 3-valve 5.4 V8.

Fits body configurations in 2WD or 4WD, including SuperCrew/Short Bed, Extended Cab/Short Bed, and Standard Cab/Long Bed.

This exhaust has a 3.0" intermediate pipe with single inlet into the muffler, and dual 2.5" outlets exiting the muffler. Then the actual exhaust tips are the same twin 3.5" units just like the Magnaflow # 15714 system for the SVT Lightning! So you have the same look as the Lightning's exhaust, with no loss of lower-rpm torque - the best of both worlds!

This is the F-150 exhaust system you 2004 F-150 owners have been asking for, to get the Lightning look and sound - and now it's shipping!

This Magnaflow system, like all their other cat-back systems for these Ford trucks & SUV's, shows positive torque gains at any throttle position, as well as at any rpm. There is NONE of the usual torque loss below 3000 rpm that is so common with almost all truck & SUV cat-back exhaust systems, especially in the F-150 platform.

This SIDO Magnaflow cat-back exhaust gains anywhere from 11 to as much as 14.7 HP at the wheels on the 4.6 & 5.4 engines - along with gaining torque everywhere, a clear demonstration of superior flow engineering specifically for these heavy trucks. Simply put, you can't get a better overall result with any other commercial cat-back or muffler shop system.

Made of all aircraft grade T304 stainless steel, both the muffler and the twin 3.5" tips are also mirror-polished.

The sound of this exhaust is wonderful, a throaty V8 rumble that is a bit more aggressive than the #15821 3" single Magnaflow system for the 2004 F-150, for those who want a sound more like the SVT Lightning, without it being overly loud or "droning" inside the cabin. The exhaust is relatively quiet at idle and at cruise, though you will definitely know there is a muscular V8 under the hood. When you nail the throttle, it will get louder as is appropriate at full-throttle, with that awesome Magnaflow tone!

This cat-back system is literally perfect for any kind of use, thanks to Magnaflow's solid R&D - daily driver, *great* for towing, all the way up to actual drag racing - this exhaust adds more power all the time, in any situation.

Magnaflow cat-back exhaust systems are backed by a limited Lifetime warranty for as long as you own your vehicle.

Important Note: The price of this system also INCLUDES SHIPPING to anywhere in the 48 states - shipments to other locations will be charged only the *additional* cost to ship to locations like Alaska, Hawaii & Canada.

Price: $465.32

I was wondering about those people who put the aftermarket exhaust (borla, flows, gibson, magnaflow) on their trucks. Is there a noticable sound difference in side the truck, because I kinda like it being quiet inside..

Damn, I hate not getting the best price. Even after price shopping for awhile I, or someone else, "ALWAYS" finds a better price.....

I'm still vry pleased with the System though...!!!

Afer 100 + miles it has gotten a little more "throaty". (Is that a word, did I just pull a George Dub-Yuh..?)

has anyone done this or saw this on a supercab with nerf bars? I was looking and it looks like it could be a tight fit.

Jim

PS I am assuming folks install these them selves...

Beautiful Two-wheeler!!!!

Beautiful Truck! Nice Exhaust. I would have loved to have had that, however I would have wanted the to exit on both sides of the truck in front of the rear tire like yours. I couldn't find that so I went with duals out the rear.

Pretty machines.

69...block, of all the brands on the market, Magnaflows are likely the quietest with little to no cab noise, especially if the exits are rearward of the wheels (e.g. dual split rear exits). The FIPK on my '97 was louder than the Magnaflow system. Considering that Magnaflows are of straight-thru design (no inefficient baffles), they are a great choice IMO if subdued noise is an objective.

If your gonna post something as open ended as that comment, at least explain to the rest of us where your coming from.....

I "personally" didn't miss the money. Are you picking up what I'm throwing down?
