Kleen Wheels brake dust covers (I just couldnt take looking at that dust any longer) TIP: The directions say confirm direction of arrow on back of cover with direction of rotation, but the directions don't mention the holes ARE specific so the cover's vents are not behind the spokes. Try every hole combination before installing so vents are between spokes and get air for cooling. Unless you want them covered!

Thinking of the Kleen Wheel's also , and seen post on the right positioning to allow breathing to eliminate heat.

fwiw, my front wheel brake dust issue cleared itself up after about a week or so of regular use....

edit: make that three weeks, or about 750 miles...

IMO, that makes a nice 18" aluminum wheel look like a steel wheel with a cover.

^^ I agree. I'd rather clean the brake dust than drive with those ugly things on. I hope the brake dust does get better because I have to clean the front wheels every 2-3 days right now.

Use dust shields

My 04 Supercrew was really bad about dirty wheels. I purchased a set of Dust Shields from Moss Motors. Did the trick. No more dust on the wheels.

Thumbs up

The Akebono ceramic pads are great. There is NO brake noise and very little dust. Had them on for a week, and the wheels are still nice and shiny. They do just fine stopping too...Kevin

I priced a set of ceramic pads at Autozone yesterday for my 02 "Expy" they were $38 for the front set. The clerk told me they still make the dust but it does not stick to the wheel. But they only offer a 2 year warrenty because they are still a new product. I didnt buy them but I wanted to throw that out there for anyone interested. I may get them for my XLT later down the road

Keep on truckin
