Question Cover for my F150 supercab flareside

Got my first new F150 finaly !!!!! I'm really happy !!

But still I want to add some mods on it, most things I've ordered allready but.........
Could anyone tell me, show me some links or pics from a hardtop cover. I like something like the snugtop supersport.

http://www.snugtop.com/p_supersport.htm

I'm wondering how it would look like on a flareside supercab. Since I'm from Holland and I have to order it in, I want to be sure that it "fits" and looks great on the truck.

haags welcome and congrats on your new truck. The Flareside has some but not alot of covers available yet. I dont think iv'e seen a shell like that on one. Do a serch in truck caps and check all the manufacture's to what they have available. I like the low look but looks as if you need more use of your bed > Wow some lifestyle in the water .

haagsportief,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new truck.
I'll bet it gets a lot of attention over there.

Hup Holland!

Wow !!! Some pics of the rafting !!
That's something we do not have in Holland. Are the rafts yours?

I haven't seen a lot off new f150 around in the aria so yes I get a lot of attention. Most of the trucks here in the area are the avalanches....

Like the mod's on the truck, they look great.... How is the cover?
Can you open it all the way?
I'm still looking for an option on mine. I want to be able to use the hight but also want to have the option of locking the bed. have also seen a simmular cover but with a sort of toolbox....

Those rafting pictures are from an 8 day commercially guided trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. The rafts belong to the rafting company. It was an awesome experience.

Thank you for the compliment. I am happy with the Retrax cover. The canister takes up 13 inches (33 centimeters) from the front of the bed. There is still limited space under the canister all the way to the front of the bed. (I think the canister is 13 in. x 13 in.) The cover opens up to within .5 inches (1.27 cm) of the canister. It is a very secure cover when locked.

Yep, retrax looks also nice, but......

Oke, I have been looking around and did a lot of reading, still not confinced. Should it be a retrax? also like the "pace edwards" bedlocker (the electric one). ore should i go for a hard top cover???? Seems I can not make up my mind yet. Need the space but also want to keep the sporty look from the flareside...
Any advise from you're experience people out there?
Let's say between the retrax and the bedlocker from PE...

Check my gallery, I had a Pace Edwards ordered for 3 months, directly from manufacturer. Got tired of waiting and did more research. Finally ordered a Retrax. Took less than a week to get in. Very easy to install. Painted surface need to be taken care of like the rest of truck. Seals great. Had rain for a week and just a very small amount of water from tailgate area. Absolutely recommend.

Retrax does look good. I had a Roll N Lock ordered for over 3 mth's and went with the lo rider hard cover. My worry was snow weight over a long period of time . Wathing some of the trucks at work may change it out next year. I want more use of the bed with out pulling cover off.

bluestang67,

I like your cover also, but with the yellow truck the black hooks on the outside of the bed really would really stand out like a sore thumb if I had a hard cover painted yellow. The retrax is very simple, lockable, holds a heavy load, and you can lock it open in any posistion.

I was wondering of snow weight on the Retrax. Your right on the hooks . Wish they where removable with out any trace of them.

No worries with snow on the Retrax, it's made pretty strong. You have to clear all the ice and snow off, of course, before trying to open the cover...

Just had a Leer 700 Series installed.
They also make the full type that you are looking for.
