Auto Spring Corp = Great Service

I just had the Auto Spring Corp 1.5 front spacers installed. They provide an actual lift of just over 2" and look fantastic.

This company rocks. Three months ago I had the 2" spacers installed and although they looked far better than stock, the front was actually raised about 2.75", which was a bit too much. The front wheel well was actually about 3/4" higher than the rear.

After thinking about it for some time, I decided to call and speak with the company about it. They were very helpful and suggested that the 1.5" spacers provided a 2" lift and were ideal. They were 100% correct!

What a pleasant surprise when they offered me a refund (minus a small restock fee) on my original purchase. Mind you, they did that without me even asking.

All I can say is the product is great, the service was above and beyond and the truck looks perfect!

Buy from them and you won't be disappointed!

how much did you pay for the 1.5 inch kit? what size tires are you running? i am trying to get some 33s on the truck and i am trying to decide if a lift like this will do it or if i should just go all out and do the 6 inch suspension with some 35s

I paid $115 delivered. Our truck has the stock 18 inch Lariat wheels.

Give them a call and discuss what you want. They are very experienced & can help you make the right decision.

Hope that helps,

Barry ( Bart)

ditto Bart, on my 4x2 Lariat SCREW I installed the 2" autospring spacers($122 shipped), I measured very carefully before and after, I got over 3" and with full extension(speed bumps, potholes) the upper control arm would hit the spring. I called Kevin and Mark and they immediately shipped me 1.5" (actually measured 1 5/8")spacers that still gave me 2.25 inches and the ride is great, same as stock. From the center of the wheel to the fenderwell stock I had 20.25" with the 2" I had 23.4", now with the 1 5/8" I have 22.5", the back is 22.75" but it looks level. I would recommend them to anybody, but I wouldnt order the 2" or especially the 2.5" spacers, the 1.5" are perfect!

bill maier & bart,

Did either of you have alignment issues with the 2" kit?
I have the 2" kit on mine now and it is wearing the outside edges
of my tires very badly after aprox. 2000 miles. I took the truck in for an alignment and they told me that because the suspension is so extended that there is no adjustment left in the suspension.
I'll probably call Autospring first thing next week. But,I'd appreciate your comments anyway. If you want to reply to me personally, I'm at................. melie@adelphia.net.

Thanks
Mark

Mark, I only had the 2" on for about 500 miles and had the local Ford dealer do my alignment for free under warranty. they didnt mention anything about not being able to align the front end, the service report says they set the toe-in. It did look like they may be wearing a little more on the outside edge. I would definately contact Kevin or Mark and have them ship you out the 1.5" spacers, it seems to ride better(the control arms aren't at such a steep angle) and the .75" difference in height isnt noticeable, it still looks level.

Did the dealer service dept. say anything about the leveling kit? I am concerned about voiding my warranty. Did you mention the kit to your dealer? What reason did you give for wanting an alignment? Sorry, don't mean to be a pest......

Thanks,
Mark

No Alignment or Tire Wear Problems

Bill M... I concur 100%. The angle is better and the ride actually seems the smoothest it's ever been. 1.5" spacers rock!

I had mine aligned after each set of spacers was installed. I put over 3,000 miles on the 2" ones and the truck tracked perfectly (actually better than from the factory). Tire wear was completely even. It sounds like you did not get a good alignment.

BTW the second set of spacers measured exactly 1.5" and gave a lift of 2 & 1/8". Distance form top of tire to the wheel well lip is even front and back. Distance from the wheel well lip to the ground is 1/4" less in the front.

The truck rides, steers and looks the best it's ever been...and that's saying alot since it was just about perfect from the factory.

If anyone is trying to decide which set to get, I can assure you the 1.5" is a great choice and that you will love the look.

Melie, service underwriter and mechanic acted like they didnt notice the leveling kit and didnt mention it on the service report, just mentioned they adjusted the toein out.
Bart my truck with the 1.5" spacer is right at .25" lower in the front and stock it was exactly 2.5" lower in the front. One thing a little strange was when I called 2 1/2 weeks ago I asked Mark(Kevin was on vacation) if they made a 1.5" spacer to swap for the 2". He said they didnt, they had some 1 3/4" spacers, he would ship a set out. When I got them they were 1 5/8", which I was happier with since I had asked for 1 1/2". Did you ship the 2" spacers back at your own expense or did Autospring send you a call tag and cover the cost? I can't imagine anyone installing the 2.5" that they were originally shipping out when the 2" is too much. Anyway, I'm extremely happy with the 1.5"(give or take 1/8"), like you said, the ride is awesome. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they want to cover the cost of getting the 2" back.

I was so impressed that they offered a refund without me even asking for one that I just said I'd ship them back. Shipping from Spokane WA to Boise ID should not be much as it's only about 375 miles.

The truck looks so good now. I really struggled on the decision to change them to the 1.5's. Now, I'm thrilled that I did. It's hard to explain without seeing the truck because the 2" looked good. It's just that these look better. IMO these trucks look best with a very slight rake to the front. Another factor was that I tow a car trailer occasionally and when I hooked it up with the 2" spacers it sure did squat in the back. I've tried the same trailer with the 1.5" spacer (2 1/8" lift) and it's far better. I also feel more confortable long term with the better angle on the front CV boots. The improved ride was an unexpected bonus.

How hard was the install? Did you have it done somewhere?

I had mine done at Perfection Tire. Total cost including an alignment and tax was $120.00. IMO It's worth it to get the alignment just for the piece of mind.

Sounds like everybody likes the Autospring 1.5" kit - but what tires are you using? I plan on using Nitto 325/60R18 and I think I might need the extra clearance that the 2.5" kit gives me.

Anybody have this size tire with the 1.5" kit?
