Water in Fog Lamps

chemgod,
You might want to start raising the "B.S. Flag" or speak with another service dept. I previously owned a 2003 Mustang GT and Ford put out a TSB for condensation buidling up in the headlights, I had mine replaced twice. It appeared after washing the car during the summer, just hauled *** over to the dealership so they could see it. I guess the visible condensation was classified as "standing" water. Good luck

I am not getting the go around. They are replacing the light. I dropped it off for something else and the service consultant said it looks like there is condensation in the fog lamp (after looking closer he said there is water in there (other than the condensate)). They checked with the warranty manager and said they would replace it no problem, but if it had just been condensation it would have been more difficult to get ford to cover? Don't care as long as they are taking care of it.

The fact that the tires throws everything it can at the rear of the light (since there's no protection for it) doesn't help! I would have hoped it would have been covered somehow. Definitely makes it easy to change the bulbs, for sure.
If they said they won't replace it with only condensation, I'd run home and put some water in for them...after a good rain so it doesn't look suspicious If it's got water or condensation, that's not right...either way. Could be something as simple as the seal on the bulb though.
