Unhappy Visteon

My First Forum....All this talk about vibration has me wondering why Ford has decided to use Visteon as its supplier for rear ends? My Truck was built in July and I took delivery in September. I wonder if some of the problems, i.e., shuddering, vibration etc are due to product quality? I hear that the Nissan uses Dana? My truck has had the rear window rattle, Shudder, vibration, steering nibble and finally, driver seat play.

What do you mean "driver seat play"? mine feels like it "reclines" a 1/4 inch or so upon acceleration...

Nissan uses Visteon for some things.

And the frame for the Tundra... They seem to be a VERY busy company!

I think I need to buy some DANA stock!

RockPick et al...Yeah, all of us should have bought some Dana stock. A year ago, it could be had for under $7.00/share. Today, it's over $19.00/share. A 173% gain!!!

Newcrew,

If you get this I apologize for taking so long but I forgot my login password and I takes awhile to get a new one. My seat felt like it had moved back around a 1/4 in. each time I would accelerate from a dead stop. The dealer installed a new track and now the seat feels solid.

I had a new seat track as well, seat is fine now, had the same symptoms when pulling away from stop, seat would slide back slightly. In fact after driving a new Mazda6 for a week the '04 F150 seats are freakin luxurious by comparison!!

Rick.
