Any cool ideas for the massive space in the center console...

Has anyone come up with anything cool for the 6-pack sized space under the arm-rest in the center console? Outside of the above mentioned that is!!

I use mine as a wet bar...doubles as a dog grooming station if you add soap and a blow drier.

Well this may not be to original, but I'm gonna build off your idea that it's six pack sized.

Design a switch that would allow you the option of diverting the air for the rear seats inside the console. Turn the air to max A/C, place a six pack of your favorite beverage (umm lol) give it some time and you'll have a nice cool drink with out the mess of having ice and water in the console of your $30K truck.

I know what ya mean E-Dubs. I'd be real interested in an organizer for the console. Trying to find small items in there is like hunting in a bucket. An organizer would sure help.

Also, I read on an earlier post that the clip arrangement on the inside of the lid was there to hold a tissue box. Has anyone found one that'll fit?

Arthur,

I read a thread that Walmart sells the right size tissue box for it, but I haven't verified that.

The large slot next to the change slots is supposed to be for a PDA, but I have yet to see one that would fit it.

I got one of those desk trays from Office Depot. It's black and holds alot of stuff. It's about 1.25'' deep with alot little compartments. Keeps everything nice and neat.

That spot is for business cards. Fits perfect.

The credit and business card suggestion makes sense. The owner's manual says: (Page 57)

CENTER CONSOLE (IF EQUIPPED)
The center console offers several useful storage features. These include:
1. Cupholders
2. Tissue holder in lid
3. Power point
4. Large utility compartment has
Coin holder slots, PalmPilot/PDA
holder, and Pen holder

I never found that Pen Holder either. I must be blind! I also have a PalmPilot and sure can find where that is supposed to go either.

I'd like to see a cigarette lighter put in there. Dodge does this on the fold down center console on their 40/20/40 split bench. I realize there is a 12V on the back of the console but I'm one for hiding wires. That way I could stow my cell phone inside the console and charge it simultaneously without any cords or wires showing. Just a thought.....(shrug)

Pens clip on those open groves where the tissue holder is. Looks like Vs cut out of that area. Not sure where a PDA goes, other than were the tissue box would go.

That console is so large you could probably store an UZI in there!
