2004 F-150 Insurance
Hey ya'll I'm new to the forum. I'm really thinking of buying an '04 F-150 FX4 once I graduate from UT in the summer. I was just wondering what the insurance rates are looking like for this truck?
I'm 21, never been in a accident, no speeding tickets, and have been driving for 4 years.
I guess I should go ahead and make some calls to insurance companies to get quotes, but I'm just wondering what ya'll are paying for your insurance per month.
Thanks

It may be $200 less than your Ranger because the '04 F150 got such a high safety rating. There's another reason to love the F150! The money you save in insurance can go into toys for it!
My full coverage for the F150 is costing me about $600 per year, but I'm a 42 year-old with a clean record, plus two other vehicles on the same policy (not included in the price I quoted). Nationwide Insurance, by the way.

I live in NJ so please, DO NOT get me started about insurance!!! It also means that any number I throw out cannot be compared to any number from anyother state! All I can say though is that my new F150 increased my insurance by about $300 per year as compared to my 1998 Explorer.
OK...for those of you who are curious...I spend about $1,400 per year on insurance for this truck. Again, keep in mind my old Explorer was still over a grand on it's own, so the expense is far from F150 related.

When it comes right down to it though, unless you are truly talking some high end performance machines, insurance costs really do not drive purchase decisions. And if you can afford the high-end stuff, chances are insurance costs are not of a concern anyway.

you guys are extremely lucky
18 year old male, suburban NYC
i was quoted $7500 from 4 different insurance ocmpanies
no accidents/tickets
I had a 97 dakota with no collision and I paid $400 a month, its totally rediculous. I finally talked my parents into letting me go on their insurance, now i pay $3600 a year

YIKES! I feel fortunate now...very fortunate. There's no reason anyone with a good record should have to pay what some of you are paying. That's ridiculous. Thank the politicians, insurance companies (greedy ones only) and the thieves/criminals for the high rates in some areas. Did I miss anyone?
