My new 2004 Lariat

I finally got my dream truck!
I have always wanted a F-150 and after seeing the 2004's I decided I couldn't wait any longer.
The pictures are after a wash, polish and wax job. I am still waiting for my elbow to stop hurting!

Ha Ha on the hurting elbow. Remember, this is one of the "diseases of excellence."

Nice truck. Looks a lot like mine, except yours is black and mine is white. I like 'em both. Wish I could have one of each.

RUSSELL336,

Looks good! Don't let that little dog pee on your tires, now.

You picked a black truck, so you'll build up that polish/wax arm in no time. I spent Sunday doing the clay/polish/wax thing.

Out of curiosity, what polish, wax, and tire shine did you use?

Thumbs up Great Truck

Sure is sharp! I've got the same combination but with the ad-on black running boards you get thru Ford parts.

They are the Westin Platinum Series. I looked at a lot of others and decided I like these best, especially for the price I got them for: $363.87 delivered.

I use Meguiar's for all of my detailing, inside and out. I am thinking of trying Zaino products since I see a lot of good results here in the forums but I want to use up my Meguiar's supply first.

That's funny...Zaino was what I first had on my truck, then I just made the switch to Meg's #26 to see how it would look. I loved the way Zaino looked on my Silver '97 XLT, but (IMO) it didn't have enough depth on my Black truck. The #26 looks a little better on this truck because of the "depth" it gives.
Zaino is good because it generally lasts longer. I applied 4 layers the 1st weekend in November on my truck, but it wore off already...most likely because I've been washing my truck so much. I put Z on my wife's Windstar in late October and it's still beading nicely (I don't wash her car nearly as often...).
