Mini message center or full??

Hey guys/gals,

is this an option when ordering the truck? I ordered an FX4 (as you can see below in sig) If so, I was not made aware of this from my sales guy.

What does the FX4 come standard with? I was told the full message center tells you miles left till empty and some other useful info., whereas the mini is just mileage/tripometer and compass.

What do you all have?

Only the Lariat has the full message center. Yea, I know it sucks but thats the way it is. My FX4 has mileage/tripometer and compass.

What additional info ....

is displayed on the Lariat's message center?

So far, we have:

1. Compass
2. Average fuel economy
3. DTE

plus the lariat message center can control a bunch of options to set. not sure if the FX4 message center does that. you know, stuff like how long the lights stay on after you lock it and tings like that.

FX4 also shows that the overdrive is locked out.

Thats kind of crappy i spent 33 thousand on the Fx4 and u couldnt get leather heated seats and the message center isnt tricked out seems like the lariat and the fx4 are almost priced the same so u should be able to get the same options, at the very least the message center should have had everything the lariat does.Maybe someone can make a flash to get the trip centers functions on the Fx4 the same as the lariat?

I think the message center is physically larger on the Lariat.

the computer on the Lariat is awesome. It also gives me an Engine test that includes engine temp, oil level and others. Very useful to me. Remember too that the Lariat does not have skid plates like the FX4 and the dash is very different
