Question about heated mirrors
Question about heated mirrors
A question for all the heated mirror owners out there....
How do you turn them on? I have test driven several different trucks and have not been able to figure it out. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated switch and the sales people are completely useless on questions like this. Not a single one I've talked to could tell me.
I guess I could have looked in the user's manual in the glovebox but I was always so excited about driving one I didn't think about it until later.
I was just wondering....
Thanks!
Steve

On FX4s, there is a switch just bellow the A/C & heat controls. On Lariats, there is a switch on the Climate Control unit just to the right of the display. On both models, there is an icon of a mirror with heat radiating from it on the switch. If the truck has the rear defroster window, then the heated mirrors come on with that, so there is no switch with a mirror icon.
You Have to have the deluxe mirror package . Code 61A . Look at window sticker.
The button is under the rotory switch 3rd from the left for he vents on my FX. The icon on it is the icon for defrost. I think if you have the rear window defroster it turns both on ,if not it turn only the mirror heaters on.

Thanks Guys!
Thanks for all the replies...
If I remember right all the trucks I looked at (all Lariats) had the fixed rear glass and defroster so that explains why I couldn't find a dedicated button for the mirror defrost.
Thanks again.
