Addİtİonal Questİons??

1-My dealer said the delivery will take 6 to 8 weekssssss is that normal???
2-İ read about the latest reviews of f-150 on sites and also magazines. They keep saying even 5.4 liter is not powerful enough because an additional 800+pounds makes the truck a really heavy one is it true ??

I've got over 3,000 miles on mine and I'm totally satisfied with the power. I occasionally tow a small trailer and hardley notice it behind me. My last truck had a 5.0 in it and my 5.4 has much more power and better pickup. The truck is much smoother and a way far better ride on the highways also. You might want to test drive one there in Turkey first though before buying..If thats not an option then I guess you find out soon. Also what are you driving now??

Last year i was using a lincoln navigator.İ sold that one because she was getting old and i thought it was better to sell her before second hand price goes down but then i got a chevy tahoe but never get used to it my eyes always looked for the lincoln. The performence of the navigator was great although it was much heavier then the chevy and the steering in lincoln is amazing. So when i saw this new f-150 i said woow it uses the same engine with lincoln i used it before and great interior exterior

Yes, the truck uses some features and functions from the Lincoln. You should be happy with your choice. I have the 3.73 axle with 18" wheels. I think the limited slip is like posi traction. Not sure you might want to ask a mechanic or contact Ford

deepblue...you asked several questions. I'll try an answer with the following:

Delivery time: In the U.S., 6-9 weeks is a common delivery time when ordered from the factory.

Power: the new 3V power and torque is very linear...it's there, but the quietness (little engine noise because of the 3 layer firewall, little wind noise because of door design features, little road noise because of suspension compliance/cab mounting features, etc.) of this vehicle fools the senses. At 3000 rpm and above, there is a rush of power...and, it's VERY smooth.

Weight: Yes, this is a heavy rig...2 1/2 tons. But, as I drive it over rough surfaces, it reminds me of a large passenger cruise ship in rough waters...smooth, secure, and queit.

3.73 limited slip versus standard 3.73: to keep it uncomplicated, unless you're going to spend a lot of time "off-road", a standard rear end will suffice. Your choice may also depend on whether you ordered 4X4.

It's difficult to compare various driving conditions and vehicle requirements...U.S. freeways (and German autobans) vs. city driving, off-road recreational driving vs. unpaved rural roads, etc.

Limited slip is not about "feeling power". It about a rear end gearing system that transfers power to the rear wheel that has the most traction. Without LS, the drive wheel will spin when it loses traction and you may find yourself stuck...with LS, the power will be transfered to the other rear wheel IF it has traction superior to the slipping wheel. If both wheels have NO TRACTION, limited slip will not help you. In that case, 4X4 may be your only salvation...or a tow truck!
