Trade in

Hey everyone. I'm looking to trade in my 2002 screw 4x4 lariat for a '04. What kind of trade in values did you all get. My truck is in excellent condition and the dealer was only giving me 23,000 for it. I'm relatively new to this site so any replies would be greatly appreciated

Deal

Hey bmcqueen thanks for the reply. What Kind of deal did you get on your new truck. The price of the truck I wanted was 40,415. The differece was 17,415. Just wondering if this is similar to what you got. That difference seems rather high to me, but I so do want an 04 though.

$23000 is a pretty good trade in price, but they are giving you that much because they are quoting you MSRP for their truck. If they want you to pay retail for theirs, you need to get retail for yours.

I've seen ads in the Denver area this week for $6500 off MSRP on the new 04's, and an extra $1000 if you get the RCL rebate.

You should be looking at closer to $12k difference...

My difference was just under 14,000...for fully loaded Lariat...MSRP over 40,000.

If your truck is nice you should be working on at most about 14000 difference on that truck of 40,415.

that denver deal of 6500 off plus a 1000 if you qualify is bogused up, maybe 6500 of the new 04 f150 heritage edition but of course you only learn that after you get there.

you can definately work down to around 14000 though
