Blazzing Yellow ???

Well I didn't feel like waiting no more for the truck I ordered . So yesterday I found a yellow screw FX4 with all options, in tampa fl. 300 miles away from where I live. I must say the truck rides real nice and the audiophile sounds awesome!!! I ended up getting a great deal since I have A plan + 500 lease loyalty bonus . The MSRP was 39,975 and A plan was 33,648 . I do have one question the GM at the dealer told me that, they stoped making Bazzing Yellow and that he couldn't order one any more. Does anydody if this is true? Well enjoy your trucks, and for the ones who are waiting for them to get here it will be worth the wait

I have the same exact truck on order and it is scheduled to be built within the next 2 weeks. Just another example of a clueless dealership. Where do they get this nonsense? I mean, even on this Forum we tend to question any and all rumor mills...
The funny thing is, we on this Forum usually get to the bottom of all rumors with the help of people in the know.
I have read so much bologna (boloney) on this Forum about someone waliking into a dealership and being told something that has been proven to be totally out to lunch. These dealerships would look better, in our eyes, if they simply said nothing or "I don't know".

What do you think the motive for this "GM" to offer up information that that Ford will not be producing any more Blazing Yellow?

The only reason I can think of is that he wants you to believe that you have just stumbled upon a Collectors Edition of the 2004 FX4 S-Crew!!!! UGGHHHHH!!!!! I think I just made myself laugh outloud!!!

I had the feeling that he was full of $h!@ . I don 't know if he had a motive or not. He did tell me that he was thinking of staying with that truck ,so I told him well you could just order another one just like it . and thats when he told me about the problem with B yellow.

I got the Blazing yellow fx4 supercab with 5.5' bed and console shifter... yellow is suppose to be the rarest color (what the local rep told my Dealer and this is an honest dealer (as honest as they come)) also he said the yellow, short box with console shifter, is a rare combo... short boxes in general are suppose to be rare.. are they I dunno.. but I hadn't seen many at the lots and I look.. but the yellow is GREAT.... gets a lot of looks..

Any truck that is a S-Crew has a short bed, 5.5'. They are not rare.

I picked up my Yellow FX4 on 9/23 -- it had been on the lot for about a week. The dealer told me it was the first yellow they had sold this year...

no the Short short bed on the supercab (extended cab) not supercrew... most supercrews are the 6.5' bed not the 5.5' bed... around here there arn't very many so maybe they are more common in other areas

I've only seen 2 with the supercab (extended cab) and 5.5' bed and there are a bunch of these new body styles at the lots

If anyone else wants a yellow SuperCab with Flareside bed, there is one on the lot in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Been there a couple of weeks.

5.5' bed on S-Cab

ctupton:

I don't think you can get an S-Cab with a 5.5' bed. And the S-Crew "only" comes with a 5.5' bed.

You've got both of them backwards....
You can get a Super Cab w/ 5.5', 6.5' and 8' beds.
Here is a pic of a SCAB w/ the 5.5 bed.

Unhappy Yellow paint

I was told by one saleswoman that they were having problems getting the Yellow F150s because Ford was having trouble with that color.
I said whaddaya mean... because there so popular or because it wont stick to the truck, jokingly.
She said because of the latter.
