I think he is talking about the two tone Fx4s. Pretty shure a few members have posted that the lower grey was chipping off very easily.

The 2005 F150 order guide does not list Blazing Yellow as an option anymore. The 2005 F2/350 SD will have a special edition in Blazing Yellow, only in South West and Florida.

I have the same exact truck on order and it is scheduled to be built within the next 2 weeks. Just another example of a clueless dealership. Where do they get this nonsense? I mean, even on this Forum we tend to question any and all rumor mills...
The funny thing is, we on this Forum usually get to the bottom of all rumors with the help of people in the know.
I have read so much bologna (boloney) on this Forum about someone waliking into a dealership and being told something that has been proven to be totally out to lunch. These dealerships would look better, in our eyes, if they simply said nothing or "I don't know".

What do you think the motive for this "GM" to offer up information that that Ford will not be producing any more Blazing Yellow?

The only reason I can think of is that he wants you to believe that you have just stumbled upon a Collectors Edition of the 2004 FX4 S-Crew!!!! UGGHHHHH!!!!! I think I just made myself laugh outloud!!!
Actually, you can't order a yellow one any more. Blazing yellow is not an option on the 2005 F150, and you can no longer order the 2004 trucks. The last date was July 2nd I believe. The 2004's are still in production(till August, not sure of the date), but if you order one now, you have to order a 2005, hence, no yellow.

I don't understand why ford limits colors so much. offering certain colors only on certain models. we should be able to get any color scheme offered. its not good customer service. when I bought my truck I would have much rather have had the botom two tone be black or a darker charcole to match the plastic trim on the wheel wells and on the step sides and the grill and the running boards and the tires, ect. the only color offered down there even close was the charcole and not on the xlt. I liked the fx4 anyhow so thats what I got. still I think of possibly going down ahd haveing a body shop paint it black for me. don't know how much that would cost.

The dealer's job is to sell you a truck. Job number one. They told me that and that is what made me buy my truck in October. I was told that yellow was ending because they ran out of the color. Little did I think that it would continue through the end of the model year. I would have waited until the rebates kicked in.

Anyway, I love my truck and the options which I received. I got everything but leather and then added yellow and black leather in it once I got it. I don't regret it at all. I also know that the '05's don't have yellow on the pallet at all.

I leased my yellow scab-without all the options I would have gotten if I was buying-figuring I would avoid the first year bugs and buy (another Yellow one) in 2 years. Thanks again Ford. Why not just make them all black? Been done before.....

I went in knowing I was going to get X-plan pricing ($4600 off MRP), then I found out there was another $1000 rebate for X-plan members. I looked at the $2500 rebate, but the 1.9% financing over 60 months was a much better deal. Still...getting a $39,000 truck for $33,000 was great. I can't believe I left the dealer with a payment under $450 a month on a $39,000 truck! Sometimes I just go to the garage and stare at it...

Not sure why you quoted me on this one. I put that post up
on Sept. 28, 2003. In hind sight you are correct, but at that time we had very little info on these trucks, and lots of rumors.
