I finally got to see the FX4 in dark shadow grey. That's the color I have on order in my new Screw. I was totally shocked when I saw it. I hated it. It didn't do a thing for the truck. Very drab. Doesn't look a thing like the grey '03. I really like those. Maybe it's the lack of chrome. Anyway, I'm now in the process of changing my order to the white/shadow grey tutone. I also saw one of those and loved it. That was my first color choice before I changed to solid grey. Reminder....always go with your first instincts.

 

Did the grey look the same color to you as the 03? I did see a grey/sliver xlt and did not really care for it also. But I have ordered a super crew in Dark Shadow Grey also and it will be here soon. I just hope after dressing it up a little it will look better.

 

I didn't get a Dark Shadow Grey 04, but I goota tell ya, that color looks hasdsome and sophiscated on that truck. All business I tell ya!!!!

If my taste is anything worth noting, I ordered the FX4 SCrew in Yellow/Dark shadow Grey 2 Tone. Now that's a color that says to me "Let's Play"!!!!

 

It's really hard to put my finger on why I didn't like it. It just seemed dull. Maybe it's because there is little chrome on it. It may be because of the tall sides and the narrow glass, this was the Supercab. I think the color is actually the same as '03. The whole truck, paint, trim, grill, tires look all the same color. This truck wasn't clean, but mine won't be much of the time also. Maybe it was just comparing it to the sparkle of the white-grey combo. It's just all personal taste. I was so relieved when I saw the black FX4 interior. It looks incredible! I had seen the Lariat interior in beige and didn't like it either. Especially the fake wood decal on the dash. It looked like you could peel it off...and needed to. The FX4 dash really looks sharp.

 

I've seen grey, silver, silver grey combo, red, grey/white combo, and blue/grey combo.. I think they all look good. I personally like the grey/silver combo. I think that the two tone sets off the truck, although the solid colors look good. I havn't seen an ugly FX4 yet and remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I also thought that the grey was very similar to the 03' grey.

 

I think you're right. The two-tone seems to it off and break up the tall sides of the truck. They talk about the drop glass in the front door. They haven't really "dropped" the level of the glass there. I think that is where the glass used to be and they raised the rest of it. There is an awful lot of sheet metal down the sides of these trucks.

 

Good thing for someone in a business. A WHOLE lot of room for advertisement…

 

. . which might make up for the fact that one can't advertise on their tailgate anymore.

 

Glad you liked the white/gray combo. That's what I have ordered, should be here in about a month. I have'nt seen one yet. Where did you see it? A picture sure would be nice(HINT-HINT). I've had second thoughts about the color ever since I placed the order but I've resisted changing the order. My second choice would probably be red but I'm looking forward to delivery of white..

 

I have a great photo of a white/grey supercab on the showroom floor in Huntsville. It's in "My Pictures" file. I can't get it to post. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Give me some simple instructions and I'll give it another try.
