Has anyone actually taken one home yet?
It's getting closer . . . .
Seeing how this forum is like 22 pages long and was started way back in Sept 2002, let's all post here when you get your new 2004! Post what model you got, the day you got it, and the city and state you got it from. (options, and price paid are optional)
Maybe we'll see a wave of them across the country.

The new F-150 is being shipped as of today! Norfolk Assembly Plant (Norfolk, VA) has begun shipping the new trucks. They are awesome! This truck will be the death of Chevy, Dodge & Toyota. I work in the Ford plant and we have been working hard to deliver the BEST truck the World has ever seen. Start checking out the dealerships cause, THERE HERE!

'04 @ dealer 1st Saturday of September!
That's what my dealer told me. He said they have a big barbecue planned for that day, so everyone can come and check out the new truck and have some fun at the same time. This is an important rollout for Ford and they want their dealers to make it a big deal too, ya know, get the public excited. Another, differnt, dealer told me he thinks Ford may be willing to give better rebates to those who buy first, because Ford wants them out there driving around so people say, "Wow! What's that? I HAVE to have one of those!"
Who knows, maybe it's all bs. But whatever, I'm excited - and on my final steps to deciding where to place my order!

I would bet that that 10-15% of the plant workers are Tar Heels.
It is nothing compared to Tysons Corner VA where I spent the past week. Talk about a commute. That is pure hell up there.
