So getting back to this... after forever...... man I am lazy..... I am looking at everything, and can't figure what bolts are for the water neck. Are they 8mm in diameter, with a 10mm head with a large flange, and 90mm long?

I would like to try and get an air die grinder and some of the 3m pads to hit up the gasket surfaces really quickly then at least toss my upper and lower together

so bought a new pipe today, also got a motorad thermostat, and new water pump outlet pipe (how is the motorad brand? trustworthy or no?)

while BSing with the guy @ that parts store, I mentioned my story of destroying the pipe. he asked if I had looked it up yet on youtube. within a few seconds on his computer, we found a homemade tool for this pipe? it is in a different location on a v6 ford.... but same thing. now I need to go to the hardware store.....

here is that video, looks like a lot of work to make this tool.... but if it works.......... I am down

So, took my pipe to the hardware store. The idea the user on youtube had would not work with mine
The flange on the soft hose side, was way larger than the video. Did a little thinking. Ended up with a sprinkler riser. And a coupling nut for the top to have a larger strike surface. Anyways. Used a rasp bit as I couldn't find my cutoff wheels. Cut a wide channel in the pipe with it wider @ the top for the bend. Put the pipe in the freezer for a bit. Then spread open my sprinkler riser and clipped it onto the pipe. Slowly lined it up, and started smacking it down with a hammer......

since you have the intake off you might as well replace the heater hose PIPE...that will fail ...btw I gotta fix for that...heater hose for a 2000 v8 Trans am. Long and has a U bend in it...clamp it on and route out FRONT passenger side of intake/head area...beside the other one..all the way to the rear..

daayco 87716....I suggest adding another piece of old heaterhose as a sheath where this will rub against the edge of the intake manifold where it comes from underneath toward the front

Got a picture of this? I bought the replacement pipe, but still not sure what I want to do yet.

Also what temp T stay to use? I am thinking I want OE instead of the motorad that I got. 195* ?
