don't forget to use a piece of old heater hose to "shield" your NEW HOSE...at the edge of the intake manifold....wouldn't want any chaffing to cut that water supply

Didn't have any old hose around, so I dug through preformed hose @ the local auto parts store. Haha, it cost more than my actual hose. I cut iff part of it, and now have this

ok, a little bit confused here

says to put in the 9 bolts, but the longer ones I have to do with the thermostat later, but they are included in my toque sequence? does this mean install them now, and take them out later to put in my thermostat?

I think this is what it's saying:

Install the 9 manifold bolts loosely. Then install the thermostat, installing those 2 bolts loosely. Then torque them all to specs.

Clean and lube the bolts and internal threads, put a little antiseize on the bolt threads.

Figured out the issue..... $95 after I had a mobile mechanic come out.....

My bolts are too long. The plastic manifold is like 1/4" thicker, making the bolts I had like 1/4" too long, and bottom out.....

Time to hit the cutoff wheel and grinder in the morning.....

Ok, so I think I need 50mm length bolts. That is what I ordered. If it is wrong. Ugh! I am going to be unhappy. Ordered from Belmetric

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the throttle body and the intake? The 2001 plastic oem used a little ring, but my 1999 aluminum manifold does not have that groove for that, it is flat

Yes, it's paper. There's also a gasket between the throttle body and elbow.

Hmmm. Don't know how I never noticed that.

I was wrong in mentioning what I needed. My tb and elbow is still 1 piece, it is just the elbow to manifold that I need.
