radiator question
Radiator Question
I'm wondering if you can replace a single row radiator with a double row radiator? Or if there is not enough room to do it? I've read conflicting information about it, and I'm wondering if you guys can set me straight. I'd appreciate it.

Yep! Matter of fact, it's super easy! Matter of fact, it was built for, and used to come with a two row radiator.
Order a radiator for a '97 F250 light duty and it'll slide right in!! That's what I have. THere are a couple of super nice, high quality aftermarket aluminum radiaotors out there if you want to spend the money, but they're pricey. Either way, they'll fit perfectly with no modifications required.

It will fit just fine, but if you have a 2003 F150 the trans "cooler" fittings are quick disconnect, and its impossible to find aftermarket.
If you've got an 03 just grab and external trans cooler and reroute the lines into it, and bypass the radiator

It might be difficult to find one for a manual. They don't need the tranny cooler. Don't let that stop you. I bought one for an auto and just left the cooler alone.

The tranny cooler is a tube that sits in the end tank. You don't need to cap the lines. The rad is sealed where the lines come out of the rad for the cooler so the rad will not leak.
