I have a 2002 f150 xlt super cab 4.6 liter 4x4 I disconnected the battery I was changing my fuel filter
after I was done reconnected the battery now the overdrive light does not come on when I push it in. I disconnected the battery so I would not have any problems what would of cause that?Thanks Ralph

Nothing to do with removing power.
Have you looked in your user manuel page 209, fuse 29 for the fuse that feeds the light.
The light has nothing to do with the OD function. It's just an indicator.
It is part of a 2 function switch.
The light is to tell OD is disabled manually by 'proxy', the light signals a trans malfunction when not in the disable position.
If it does not light, either power has been lost, the leads have broken in the shifter area or the lamp needs to be replaced.
