Planning for body transformation as begun...up next need help with hoods

All
Well the bug has once again hit me (damn..haha). I'm looking to continue transforming my truck. This time it's the body and looks. In a previous thread I inquired about new fenders/bedsides. Now how about hoods. I continue to bounce back and forth, however find it helpful to get others thoughts/opinions.

The hoods I'm thinking about are: 1) 4" Cowl 2) Cervini's 3" Cowl 3) Cowl Cobra Ram Air and 4) Type S.

I'm kind of digging the 4" Cowl however cant' decide if I like the side profile (3" looks good). The Cobra Cowls looks sweet and I haven't seen an F150 with one. And the Type-S is just so different and has caught my eye.

4" Cowl (found it for $350):

Sorry pics loading slow so here a link to someone's pics of their 4" Cowl

And don't mind the side steps below...they have been replaced with nice black ones and the dual exhaust has been redone to tuck up nicely now.

Harwood makes 4" cowls? I thought they only did a 3" (think their site says 3" too). I did find a 4" from Champion (but can't find any pics of 150's with them).

However look at this pic from Harwood...cowl looks bigger than a 3" (to me at least). Does anyone know for sure?

I'd leave it as is. Truck looks pretty clean. Only thing i'm not a fan of is the tail lights, but then again there aren't any real good options for tail lights IMO for the 97-03 step sides and screws

Yeah totally agree. I'm not really wanting to pay that much money on a hood.

EC99SS, I will have to say that I am partial to the Cobra style hood, though I don't care much for the cowl. I have the one without the cowl and I love the subtle but aggressive look of the hood. I have always been a Mustang owner (Still am), but decided to add a stallion to the herd. I saw this truck while passing it every day for about a month and said to myself, "That's a cool hood on that truck!" Eventually I stopped and in and made it mine. Bought the hood, the truck came with it!! Still love the Mustangs but the truck is gaining!!

I'm with everyone else, looks good as it is. Clean look. Don't over accessorize with the dramatic street scene giant air sucking hoods, leave that for the lowered chopped up trucks .

Agreed. My hood got hit with hail pretty good. As soon as I can afford paint, im replacing it with a reflexxion cowl like gator crews truck.
