Buy a lighter weight ranger sized truck and use the v6 150 to haul a big engine, new tranny, etc.

There are a few guys running remote turbos on STOCK 4.2Ls pushing 430rwhp/411rwtq with only 8lbs boost. Personally I'd build the V6 and do a twin-turbo setup.

ok, so you have the 4r70w transmission. you can either build that one up or you can swap in a 4R100 transmission. it would be more work, but if youre doing this anyway, whats a little more fab

Thinking 5.4 compound turbo setup? What kind of turbos and cams forged internals would I have to use?

good luck getting a 5.4 to hold the boost youd be able to make with compounds let alone trying to spool.

Think just build a 5.4. And a 4R100? Rear end also. Then maybe 8 lbs boost supercharger or single turbo?

Keep an eye on eBay for a second hand blower kit or complete lightning swap-out.

If you can fit all that and make it work then you could then maybe tackle a custom job.

Not a mechanic? So where do you plan on doing the work? How about hand tools & shop tools?
