built motor and some turbos? Its not a lightning that way.

Save up about 15k, turbo 5.4 swap with a built trans Hahaha

Guys y'all are on the same track with built motor and turbos! Definitely want that 5.4. Stiffer suspension for sure. I'm gonna save and do it! That way it's my project truck and not a truck already built like one! Hahaha!

I just graduated from Wyotech so my advice is to #1 Pay off school first then start building your truck up. And take chassis fab. those teachers will help with the planning stage of any special project if your serious.

 

Trans is stock str8t six.. and Alex, that is number one goal.. Haha. Thanks for the reminder. What course did you take? I'm in Laramie. Collision and repair. And street rod.

I graduated from Laramie at the end of April. I took Auto, ASM, and chassis fab. Street rob seemed good from what others who took it said but they always said chassis fab was better. If you take it try to get teachers Rick Junkermier, Cory Nuemeyer, and Bryan Steinbock. I had them and i learned a lot.

 

PM me if your want to talk about wyotech a little more. But if you want something that can drag fast and still be street legal you gotta think about everything especially with that little V6 truck. You gotta upgrade engine, trans, axle, suspension. basically everything on the truck needs to go away for stronger parts.
I like Superchargers so I would go with a blown 5.4 with a built trans. either get a 9.75 rear end or fab up your own 9". Just over build everything so your don't break it to fast and plan plan plan.

 

Just keep the V6 and build a tenth gen version of today's ecoboost. Project cars aren't as fun without a theme lol.
